The Alico Road Extension is a key part of Lee County’s commitment to improving transportation infrastructure, enhancing roadway safety, and supporting long-term regional growth.
This project will extend Alico Road east to SR 82, while also upgrading nearby corridors to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and protect the surrounding environment.

WHAT’S NEW
In May 2025, the Board of County Commissioners approved a change to the construction phasing. This update accelerates Phase 2, connecting Alico Road to SR 82/Sunshine Boulevard sooner. What this means for you:
